new things

madison's new hair cut. i love how short it is and it stays out of her face when i don't do it!

austin's swing and he loves it! he takes good, long naps in it during the day!

Ahhh what a week already!

Well first off Austin is sleeping better on his sides. Just had to stick with it. LOL the motto for raising children and teaching them new things I guess. Yesterday morning was an early morning. Garrett got stuck in a ditch on the way to work and I and the kids had to come pull him out. At 5 in the morning. The kids were good sports though and weren't too cranky yesterday. It was a long day though. Today has been fun. I took Madison outside to play in the snow while I shoveled the driveway. Gosh I forgot how much work that is. It's been since living on base that I've shoveled! (That word looks wrong. or is it just me?) Madison had fun playing with her shovels! So cute. I took pictures but have no idea where my cord is to get them on the computer. Anyways just wanted to share a few things. Have a wonderful week everyone!

Who needs sleep right!

Austin has been sleeping in his boppy since we brought him home from the hospital. Not sure why we did it. Madison never did. Maybe we did it cause he grunted and spit up alittle more than she did. Anyways. He's getting a flat head and the doctor said I should put him on his side to sleep. SO I tried it last night and he fell asleep fine at 10 til 2, but then he wouldn't go back to sleep. He just laid there and grunted and kicked and moaned trying to get the blanket off his legs. There was one time that he actually had the blanket over his head. (I was awake the whole 2 hours we were trying this, but it was still scary). SO at 4am I gave in and gave him the boppy to sleep in and he passed right out. So I'm gonna go to Walmart and buy him a sleeping sack and see if that works. I'm sure he will outgrow wanting to sleep in the boppy, but I'm concerned about his flat head getting worse. Just thought I'd share and maybe get some advice about what to do.

We got some blinds for the house and it's nice to have some privacy. But I miss my open windows at night. The blinds just make the room so small. We did order a nice blind for the living room and are looking into something for the sliding glass doors than just blinds or drapes. Any ideas??

Gonna try and get Madisons hair cut today too. Hopefully it will be harder for her to chew on. Garrett played poker last night and came in second. He won $90!! Yeah for him. He didn't get home til 1:45 in the morning but I'm glad he went and did something for himself. Well I gotta get moving if I'm gonna make it to Walmart today. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Whew! What a week!

So as most of you know we are in our new house! Yeah!! We've been here since Monday night. And we love it out here. It's so quiet and beautiful and COLD! So cold. It warms up around 1 or 2 in the afternoon. I know its January but it's so much colder here than in West Jordan. Other than the cold it's really nice to be out of the apartment and in our own house. We've been busy, busy trying to get everything put away. I've almost gotten everything from the apartment put away but there is still a whole garage of storage stuff! I have no idea where I am going to put it all! I didn't know we had so much stuff. I'm really hoping to get rid of alot of it.
The kids are taking the move well. Madison has been cranky, but I think that's because she's getting her back teeth. She's been chewing on her hair and it drives us crazy! She's back to screaming when she doesn't get her way which is so fun! hehe I'm kidding :)
Austin is growing so much. We had his appointment on the 12th and he weighs 11 pounds 12 ounces and is 22 inches long. He had a bit of a yeast infection again on his bum but that has cleared up. Doctor said he is doing great. He got his first round of vaccines and he took it well at the doctors office, but by 5pm he was hurting (I guess). He screamed and cried for 10 minutes straight. During the same time I was trying to do the walk through on the house and get my water turned on. AHHH too much going on at once.
It was a hard move, much harder than I thought. But it's over and we are getting settled in.

Lots going on!

First off our trip to Elko was so nice. Thank you everyone for making it memorable. We had a really nice visit with our families. And the slumber party was so fun for Madison and the girls. Good idea Kathy. I have adorable pictures that I will get up today hopefully. Our computer has been acting weird and we haven't been able to get on much. Anyways........We went and saw our house last night to do the walk through and it is BEAUTIFUL!! I love it. Can't wait to move in! It turned out so nice and it's not as small as I had imagined. Four more days!!!
I had my appointment yesterday and that went good. He is running some test on my white blood count to make sure everything is ok, but other than that a normal appointment. Austin has his appointment on Monday, along with everything else! Hopefully we can make it. Packing is going good, slow but good. I'm in need of more boxes and really don't want to buy any. I hate having to spend money on something that gets thrown. Although now that I'm thinking about it it would be nice to have sturdy boxes to store stuff in. Hmmm looks like I'm gonna be buying boxes today :) k I have a beautiful 2 month old (today) :) that needs some loving. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
