Spring Break

We didn't have big plans for Spring Break, but did get to enjoy some nice weather. Monday we did a 3.4 mile bike ride over Unity Pass which was good until Madison got tired and I had to figure out a way to get all three of us, and her bike, back to the truck. I ended up putting her bike in the bike trailer with Austin, which he did not like, and she sat on my bike seat while I walked everybody back. Super tiring :) After that was a picnic at the park. Tuesday was Coffee with the Mommies but Madison got to come play at Del Taco with all the kids. She just loved that!! We went to Ikea with a couple of Mommies and Madison was able to play in their Kid Zone. She really liked that and I don't think I can go to Ikea without putting her in there. I got a migraine while we were there so the rest of Tuesday and all of Wednesday was pretty much a blur. Thursday we went to Home Depot and got some fixings for our new Garden Box. I went grocery shopping by myself (Heaven!) and then Tball practice that night. It was so cold and windy that the kids only practiced for 40 mins. Friday we just bummed around, let the kids play outside, spent the afternoon with the neighbors. Saturday was another Tball practice, which went really well. The coach wasn't there so it was just Garrett teaching the kids with the help of one of the dads and me. It was fun and looked like the kids were having a great time. Saturday night Madison had a sleepover with the neighbor boy down the street, K. She did good and wants to do it again, like, now! She got to have juice at nighttime and cartoons on til she feel asleep, which was after 10pm. She just loved that and talks about that alot. Had a busy week and I'm ready to get back to a routine. Madison got sick last night :( I'm hoping its only a small bug and we can get over it very soon. Got Kindergarten shots on Wednesday, Easter Party on Thursday, Easter on Sunday, Birthday/Party on Wednesday, Cupcakes for school on Thursday, and Family BBQ on Saturday!!! Bring it on!!

Sleep Training!!

SO we've been trying to get Austin to put himself back to sleep when he wakes up at night so I'm not in there 5 times a night. Thursday night was our first night (since Madison doesn't have school this upcoming week for Spring Break this is a good time to let him cry all night!) he must have been tuckered out because I didn't hear from him til 6am Friday morning. I did go in and put him back to sleep since it was way to early to have the whole house up. Friday night he was up twice and we just let him cry longer then I normally would have, but did have to go in his room, BUT I didn't pick him up....I made him put himself back to bed with me in the room. Last night he woke up three different times. The first two we let him cry awhile and then put him back to bed. The third time I was way to tired to get out of bed, so I let him cry it out. He only cried for 10 mins and then was quiet and slept the rest of the night!!! So proud of him....Hopefully this means he gets the idea and can do it by himself...The true test will be if I can do it all by myself while Garrett is at work......Wish me luck :) Madison's Tball practices were canceled this week which made her very sad. She loves playing and will sneak in some tball time in the garage and backyard every chance she can! Weather looks good for this week, so she should be a happy girl. Last week we did alot of hanging out. Monday I did some scrappin at a friends house while the kids played. Tuesday was school and our Mommy coffee day, and Wednesday the mommies met at Mcdondals And Thursday I got to go grocery shopping by myself. Such a good week. Had a great weekend with Garrett and the kids. Hung out and relaxed, Did alittle craft shopping, and Had a fantastic Turkey dinner with the neighbors!! Looking forward for a relaxing Spring Break ahead of us.....if the weather cooperates with me.

Teacher Conference and Tball

Wednesday was teacher conference with Madison. The teacher just adores her and doesn't have any problems with her. She is polite and uses her manners and makes friends easily and is usually the first to answer questions. She is so smart and is good at the word family words, even the ones we didn't work with at home. The teacher said she shouldn't have any problem in kindergarten. Thursday we went to her first tball practice. Very cute to see these little kids throwing with their big ol mits on and hitting the ball. She needs to work on her hitting but she'll get it. We have another practice tomorrow if the weather holds out. She loves it though and had lots of fun. Check your email for some pictures!! Gotta get ready to enjoy a beautiful day :)
