Day 3 of School!

So today was day three for Madison's preschool. Tuesdays are her dance days and I was alittle worried about sending her to school in her clothes and having her change into her leotard for dance, but she did it and did it all by herself. I am so proud of her and she was so proud to have done it all by herself too! She was alittle tired today when I came to pick her up. She was sitting by herself in the corner, not really paying attention to the teacher. She told me she was just tired. She's learning the letter "P". I'm not sure why they are not going in ABC order, but they are the teachers, not me! I'm sure there is some method to the madness =D So she is still loving it and having fun. She told me that because she brought snack that she got to hold the flag while the class sang The Pledge of Allegiance. I'm glad they are learning that, I thought they took it out of the schools.
Meanwhile I am enjoying some one on one time with Austin. He was playing with beads today and it shocked me to see how well he did for the first time playing with them. He put 4 on all by himself, without me showing him. He's gonna be such a smart little boy! Poor guy was up at 6:30 soaking wet, so by 11:30 he was ready for his nap. So he fell asleep in the car on the way, and hopefully he will lay down for a good nap.
Well that's about it over here. We almost got the sidewalk done....almost there! And with no time to spare really.....it feels like fall over here lately. Soon the snow will be falling and it will be cold again. Not really looking forward to that!

Madison's First Day Of Preschool!

At Home.
At School (after).

So today was her first day of preschool, and I had everything planned out for the morning. That is until I slept in til 8:10 and we had to leave at 8:30!!! Oh I felt horrible, but had no time to dwell on it. So I had to wake Madison and get her breakfast going. She wanted oatmeal, but had to settle for a waffle in the car. She dressed herself slowly, while watching cartoons! I don't think she understood that we had to hurry :) All the while Austin is screaming and throwing a fit on the kitchen floor!! WOW not how I had pictured it but we managed to get there on time and had plenty of time to talk school up again. She also had dance today, so I got to go into the school to go get her. Which was crowded, but I did manage to steal a quick peek of her dancing before she saw me! Too cute!!! She loves all of it and was excited to tell me about her first day. I spoiled her with some flowers and a Happy Meal so she was really excited about that too! She says her favorite part of school is when they do the puzzles. I'm excited for her to learn new things without Mommy being all around her. Tonight its a special dinner, Mac and Cheese and grilled corndogs, and cupcakes. Just for Madison on her first day of school.......is it alittle much??

Some New Pics of the "Beach"

August 7th we went to a man made lake, I guess you could call it, and did some swimming for Kesler's 4th birthday. It was too cold to get all the way in, but we made the best of it and had fun. Here are some pictures, sorry they are late, I lost the camera for alittle bit. Go figure it was in the truck where I left it :)
We haven't been doing much, as usual. We are almost done with the sidewalk and it is looking so good. We've gotten a handful of tomatoes out of the garden, and of course, tons of peas that are just delicious! Tomorrow we go to Madison's school to meet her teacher and see her classroom. So excited for that!! So for the last week of summer we are just trying to get everything ready for her to go to school. Garrett and I get to go to Seven Peaks for our Anniversary!!! Thank you neighbors, we love you!! Can't wait for a whole day of fun, sun, and no kids! Hope that didn't sound too bad :) Enjoy the last weeks of summer everyone!!

Phew time to relax!

Wow July flew by!! Seems like we were so busy doing things around the house and with family. I can't believe that in a few weeks our little girl starts pre-school. So excited for her!! She's been growing up so much this summer. What she says sometimes just blows our minds. She can be so caring and sweet to her brother it makes my heart melt. And then, of course, there are the times that make me wonder why we had two babies so close together!! :) No we love them!! Austin is growing up way too fast!! And thats a good thing and a bad thing. My baby is getting big. He's talking so much and learns new words so fast. I'm still waiting for his first phrase though. He has gotten three new teeth, which took forever. He had a little tummy bug before we left for Elko which was hard because I couldn't comfort him. But we made it through it.
Elko was fun. The wedding was beautiful and so fun to go and hang out just me and Garrett. The kids were monsters, but thankfully they were good for Aunt Traci. They were just way tired and out of their comfort zone. Now we just need to get back into routine before we have to find a new routine for school. Looking forward to it though :)
