Jason Aldean Concert!!!

Ahhh it was so much fun!!! There were so many people and the energy was so crazy, awesome!!! Luke Bryan opened for him and he did a good job pumpin up the crowd. The best song by far was Hicktown (the last song of the night), the crowd was so crazy and the bleachers were moving, which was alittle crazy, but so worth it!!! We didn't get home til midnight but got to sleep in a bit. The kids did so good with our neighbors. Thanks guys! What an awesome night!!!

A Spiritual Moment

2 Cornthianas 4: 16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Found this quote one of my other blog sites and it really hit me, in a good way. Yesterday I was having a hard day with Madison, but after praying for strength and patience I had a really good day with her today. Anyways just thought I'd share something that really helped me through a rough day. Hope you can get something from it too!

Icky, Icky, Icky!!

So we've been sick over here for the past week now. First I had the flu, then Madison got a bad cold, then Garrett got the flu, and now Austin is coughing this morning. Yuck!! My neighbor and her kid, plus one she's babysitting and I with my two kids went to Storytime last Tuesday where we all picked up this nasty bug. The little girl she babysits got the flu that night (same as me) and is still sick, and her son got the bad cold. This morning she informed me that he started throwing up!! Oh man we thought we were getting over this. So I've been over here taking care of sick kiddos and doing what I can with the backsplash, which isn't much LOL. But Garrett is off for the weekend so we are going to finish it today!! So we haven't been doing much thats why no updates. Just wanted to let everyone know that we are still over here!

2 Fantastic Weekends!

First off we had a fantastic weekend with Kevin, Michelle, and the girls at the Classic Fun Center. So much fun skating and bouncing!! It was awesome. And it was nice to finally meet Margart and Dave. They are a very nice couple. It was nice to get to know them alittle.
This weekend we got to see my sister, her husband, and my adorable niece, Leena. It was so much fun to just sit around, visit, and watch the kids play with eachother. It was so good to see them. And Leena is getting so big. She's so much fun and the kids really enjoyed getting to play with her too!

So here at home we a working on a backsplash for the kitchen. It is coming along, but is taking alot longer than we both thought! Always does though huh! Anyway it looks so good and we are very proud of the small part we have done! Looking forward to a relaxing weekend this weekend of tile and grout. Pictures to come of the FINISHED kitchen later!! HEHE.

Update!

Last week was so very crazy with Garrett's interview, doctor's appointments, partys, and valentines day!! Garretts interview went very well. He actually got offered a job in CA working on F-16s again. We were really interested in taking it but we didn't think we could sell the house right now and come out on top. And since we are not about to bury ourselves in debt again we decided that we'd try again in a year or so. So we are going to stay here in UT for now. We are very happy here in this area and love our new friends we have around us. And you can't put a price on friendship.
Austin had a doctors appointment on Tuesday. He weighs 20lbs 9 oz. and is 29.25 inches long. He hasn't grown much at all since our last visit a month ago for his throat, but he's still on the charts and he is gaining some so the doctor wasn't concerned. And he is a healthy boy so all is good there!!!
We had our birthday party Friday night with the neighbors. It was so much fun!! We had a BBQ and played games and hung out by the fire and laughed our butts off!!! So much fun. And with all this excitement I totally forgot about Valentines day. We don't do much anyways because our birthdays are in February, but Madison is getting to the age were she is getting into all the holidays. She did some valentines for the neighbors and we made rice krispie hearts. Yum. And they got heart shaped pancakes for breakfast and a heart balloon for a treat. So Simple, kids are awesome! Just get them a balloon and they are happy for days. LOVE IT!
So thats what we've been up too. Hope everyone had a beautiful weekend!!

Bring The Outside Toys In!

While sister is outside, brother will play on the slide!

Look at all his teeth!!

Too cold for Austinto go outside so I decided to see how he'd like the slide. He loved it and did so good! He was laughing so hard going down the slide and he learned how to climb up the slide :) SO thats what we've been up to. Trying to find new things to keep the kids entertained. My Mom came up yesterday. We went swimming at her hotel, which Austin hated, and then we went shopping at the mall. The kids were so good and my mom sounded so good. It was a really good visit. Garrett flies off to CA tomorrow for his interview. We'll see what they say and what they can offer us. Just going to hang out this weekend and watch some sports. Next Friday we will have a small party for Garrett and I with our neighbors. It will be the first "party" we have for our birthdays. Looking forward to it. Anyways enjoy some pictures.
