Scouting and Dinner

Last weekend we went out for a scouting trip. Only saw 4 does, but had a wonderful time. Had a great dinner and lots of fun riding the four-wheeler. Found a great little spot to enjoy our hotdogs and marshmellows. The kids helped gather firewood and had fun climbing trees around the area. They had a blast and Garrett and I loved watching them be kids! Great night :)

Alpine Loop Fall 2012

Had a wonderful time with Grandma and Grandpa at Cascade Springs. The colors were amazing and the waterfalls were beautiful! Got a few picture of the kids here and there, nothing too fancy though. Would love to go up there for family pictures this year, but might just settle on something closer. After the hike around the falls we drove into Midway/Heber and had lunch at Granny's, YUM!!! 

Hogle Zoo

Went to the Zoo with my Sister and her family. The new attraction, Rocky Shores, is Amazing and makes the zoo 10xs better!! The polar bear was AMAZING. He was very active and I could have stayed there all day and watched him. Austin loved him and didn't want to leave either. The way they have it set up made me feel like we were back at Sea World,! The tigers were playing!! In all the years I've been, all they do is sleep, but they got in the water and were playing together. Way cool. The sun was glaring so my pictures here are raw, but you get the picture! Hehe, funny, ok no more coffee for me!! Anyway...We had a great day at the zoo. Rode the train for the last time for awhile. It will be closed for 2 years while they add the Safari Adventure to the zoo. Can't wait to see that. All the changes they have made are making it a better zoo! Loved seeing my little niece who is getting so big!! Wish we lived closer to spend more time together, but had a great time with her. Thank you Tabitha and Clint for a day at the zoo together. Both kids did so good today, getting up, and getting ready! They were both so excited to go and had so fun. Austin's got a lot of fun activities lined up for the year, and I can't wait to be part of them. They do field trips on Thursdays and I'm sure Garrett will love to go help out! Bring on School Year 2012-13!!

Nebraska!!

WOW!! Nebraska was a LONG, but VERY FUN trip!! We left on Thursday morning and made it to our destination on Friday Afternoon. A very long time to be in the car, but the kids did AWESOME!! (Seriously though what did you parents do without the DVD player!!) Stopped at Fort Cody and the Archway Museum along the way to get a little history in. The kids had a great time. Meet our Aunt Rebecca and Robert for dinner at Red Lobster, YUM, and then headed back to their house where the kids ran and ran and threw grass at each other! Saturday was the big party and another hour drive to surprise Great Grandma for her 75th birthday. What a surprise it was. She had no idea that we were coming!! Spent the afternoon meeting new family and catching up with the ones we have missed. Took some pictures of my beautiful sister and I. And back to Aunt Rebecca's for a BBQ! What a blessed day!! Sunday was spent shopping, more visiting, and swimming at the hotel. Monday we headed home, realizing that we weren't gonna make the trip in one day. Monday night had dinner in Rock Springs, WY where we had the best steak dinner I've had in awhile (at a restaurant of course, my man can cook!!) Made it home Tuesday afternoon. So happy to be home. Wednesday went fishing with Papa and Uncle Cody. Had fun catching little catfish. Hopefully we can go back when they grow up so we can eat them! The kids loved reeling the little ones in!! So glad we went to Nebraska and that I was able to have some one on one time with my daddy, sister, and brother.

Beautiful

 We have had some beautiful sunsets out here lately. Usually I miss them or are too lazy to get the camera out, but this one caught my eye! I love the look of glow in the clouds! Thank you God!!
