Exhausted!!

This past week and a half since we got back from Elko has been really rough! Madison and I are finally getting rid of the cold, but are still coughing and have our runny noses. So still no fun at all. Now Austin's nose has been really runny so he is either getting the cold or teething. Not sure, but hoping for some teeth!Only because that cold was/is so nasty. I've been waiting to post so I could put some pictures up, but the program I upload to is broken. Speaking of broken my washer seems to have died yesterday. Garrett is going to look at it this weekend, but I'm checking out some deals online :) It died on the rinse cycle and I had my King size duvet cover in there. It was so hard to get out, so heavy.
Yesterday Madison and Austin where playing. He was sitting on my lap and she put her head on his lap. He was playing with her hair, and I thought oh no I should move him he might throw up. Well I was alittle too late. Poor Madison had spit up in her hair. But she was so good about it. And when telling her daddy about it on the phone she said she wasn't mad at her brother cause she loves him. So sweet! Ah the joy of sisterhood right?!
Not alot at all going on here. Just trying to keep up with housework and rest. Maybe next week we will step out of the house and show the world we are still alive :)

Our trip

Last weekend we went to Elko for my sister Tabitha's baby shower. It was really fun to host, and also really exhausting. I couldn't believe how much it took out of me. Austin didn't sleep very good while we were there so that didn't help. We had a nice visit with my family on Saturday. Madison got to feed the horses and dogs. She had talked about doing that the whole week before. Sunday was the babyshower so the kids stayed with their dad and played with their cousins and Aunt Michelle and Uncle Kevin. I came back in time for dinner and got a quick visit. Madison hasn't stopped talking about her cousins and how she wants to play with them again. And the trip home was.....well a trip home. Everyone was done and just wanted to be there. Madison's tv broke half way home so that was a disaster! She cried and threw a fit til she passed out! And now she is sick. Yup she got the damn cold floating around Elko and brought it over here. Tuesday night she had a very bad fever and I was very worried about her. It was 104'f and took about an hour to break. Poor girl. I ended up sleeping in her bed just to make sure everything was ok. Now she wants me to sleep with her. Oh boy what did I get myself into!! This morning I woke up with alittle cough so we will see if I got it. She's still coughing and has got a little bit of a fever still. No pictures yet. My computer is being a butt. Soon though!

Austin's four month appointment

Wow I can't believe our little man is already four months. They grow so fast :( His appointment went really good. He now weighs 14 lbs and is 24 inches long. The doctor checked him out and said he was looking good. He's got alittle bit of dry skin under the armpit that we can clear up with some Aquaphor. Madison too has some eczema on her legs that we are gonna treat the same way. He did really good with his shots again.

After the doctor I took the kids to the mall to play at dino land. One of the ladies that we were in playgroup with was there so it was nice to catch up and Madison had someone to play with. I had a lot of running around to do in West Jordan and the kids did awesome. Madison listened very good in the mall and didn't have an accident. They were good sports yesterday.

Gotta start getting ready to come to Elko. Friday after Garrett gets off of work we are gonna go to the Sportmans Expo. Anyways just wanted to update about the baby. Gotta start some laundry!

First off HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAITLYNNE!! Our little niece turned three yesterday. From the little baby who slept so comfortably on my big ol' belly (my favorite picture of us btw) to a beautiful little girl who loves to play dress up. We love you Kait.

SO I'm not sure why I can't keep up with this blog lately. Maybe its the slow Internet that I don't wanna deal with. We really haven't been doing much of anything lately. Getting ready to go to Elko next weekend. Getting last minute things for my sisters baby shower, which I am so excited about. I'm getting her a really special gift (well I think so anyways) and I hope she will really appreciate it. Can't say much more cause I'm not sure if she reads this or not :) So yeah we are still here. Hanging out, not doing much. Madison is doing really good with her potty training. Austin has gotten really big this week. Doing so good at tummy time, learning how to roll over, and sleeping so good in his own room. He's so fun!
Garrett and I are "working out". We've only done it twice. So far so good LOL ;)

Still here!

So it's been a long time since I've been on here. We've been busy busy with visitors and getting the house settled. We had a great visit with Kevin and Michelle. It was weird to talk with just them and not have the girls laughing and playing in the background. My sister and her hubby also came up that weekend. We went shopping for baby stuff, and it wasn't stuff for my baby. We got to see an ultrasound of their baby. So cute. He/She has got some checks and one big head. (Thanks to his daddy!) They didn't want to know the sex, good for them I say! Went to Famous Daves for dinner and it was alright. The brisket was

awesome and now I'm craving some more!

I took the kids to the park yesterday. The weather was beautiful, alittle windy but nice. We only played for about 45mins cause Madison had an accident. So we went to Laura's house for lunch and let the kids play some more. They get along so nice, it was fun to watch them play again.

So I got alittle problem with Madison. We were at McDonalds playland on Monday and some kids fell down and I guess she laughed at them. The older girl was very worked up over it, calling Madison mean. I tried talking to her and telling her that we ask if they are alright when they fall down and she said,"no mom we laugh, haha." (Lauras boy likes to throw himself around to get the kids to laugh and I think that is where it comes from). So I'm not sure what to do about this problem. Any ideas??

a beautiful weekend!

Had a good weekend. Saturday Grandma and Grandpa visited and we had a great time hanging out and laughing at the kids. Madison loved the visit and still talks about snowballs on her head! As they were leaving she comes up to Garrett and I and asks if she can go with Grandma. It was really cute!
Sunday was Daytona. It was relaxing to bum around all day and watch the race. It didn't finish like it should have, (damn rain!) but it was still nice to watch with Madison and Garrett.
Monday was busy but very good. Madison had her first dentist appointment and she did AWESOME! She let them take xrays, clean her teeth with the spinner/polisher thing, and floss her teeth. Everything looks good and the dentist said her teeth are just hurting cause of the molars coming in. He even looked at Austin's gums for me to make sure the "ridge" on the bottom wasn't a tooth. After the dentist we went to McDonald's to play for lunch. She did so good playing with other kids. Some were being alittle mean and she never got mean back, just went about playing. Hope that makes sense. There was alittle boy at the dentist who kept hitting her and she did good by not hitting back. Garrett thinks she should have fought back, but I am proud of her for being "the bigger person" so to say! We also picked up my mom from the airport and are having a good visit with her.
Can't wait for the weekend. Get to see Michelle and Kevin and my sister Tabitha and her husband. We are going to the mall to see the baby and they want us to be there. Can't wait to see their baby. Maybe we can see what it is!!! I do know what both parts look like now. So even if they don't wanna know maybe I can sneak a peek! LOL. I think that would be hard to keep it from them and not slip.
