April 2014

Had a good time with April Fools Day this year. Made meatloaf cupcakes, mashed potato ice cream and broccoli suckers with jello drinks! The kids thought it was fun. They even got "brown E's" (I just cut out E's in brown paper!!) It was fun and I'm glad the kids were a good sport!!
We made our own Corn Hole set and have been having a blast playing it on the weekends. Even the kids get into it!
Did a lot of park hoping already. Found a new one with basketball hoops, swings, and bathrooms!! And its close to home....yay!!
Easter. Had a great Easter Sunday. Kids got to join in an egg hunt for the neighborhood, which was a lot more laid back then the big city ones. Will defiantly have to keep up that tradition!! The kids and I went to church. It was a very moving service and I really enjoy it. The kids also had a lot of fun and really would like to go back.
And of course our Madison turned 8!!! What!?! She is a doll. We had a family dinner and then she had a friend come over for cupcakes and a "late over", where the girls  hang out and play til 10 then the friend goes home. Not sure I like it. Would rather have the girl stay the night so they weren't so tired.

March....VEGAS RACE baby!!! Went to Las Vegas for the NASCAR race with my sister, her hubby, my dad, and Garrett. It was a blast. An experience like no other. I'm really glad we got to experience a live race, but not sure its something we have to do again....well maybe a night race :)
Kids got to spend the weekend with Grandma and Grandpa. They had a blast and we couldn't have gone without them, so Thank you Kathy and Ronnie!!
We did some hiking around the mountain behind our house. Didn't find any sheds but got to get out and breathe some fresh air. The kids loved it and could have hiked for hours!
Went to a friends fondue party for her birthday which was a blast!! The food was so good and although it seems like a good idea, it is also a lot of work!!

Whew this was a busy month....but isn't it always!!

Let's see....the Broncos lost the Superbowl and I was very sad :( but thats the game I guess....can't win them all. It was fun having a small party here just for the family. We ate tons of great food and I "blue & oranged" every food I could. The kids loved it!! 

We had a small party for Garrett's birthday with our friends. Lots of fun, food, and a small bon fire!

Made the kids valentine's day boxes for them. It was lots of fun and the kids had a blast picking out their ideas and then creating them. All the kids at school loved them too!!

My birthday was great!! Turning 30 was a blast and I am so lucky to have amazing family and friends to share my life with. I'm thinking of getting in shape and working out, but we will see how far that thought goes LOL!!

January 2014

A good start to our new year. We enjoyed watching Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 at the local dollar theater. So much cheaper and less crowded. The kids went with our friends and had a blast eating candy and popcorn for dinner :) Got Austin all ready for Kindergarten with a doctors appointment. His iron is a little low so he has been on some extra vitamins. We will go back soon to make sure all is good. We looked into getting a bigger house, but decided now is not the right time to sell. So we are making the best out of our house here and learning to live small. It's not bad and I love our house. It keeps us all together, all the time, and that is something that won't last forever :) Had a visit with my sister, Tabitha and the kiddos. Clint came too but went hunting with Garrett. Those kids are getting so big!! It was so fun to hang out with all five kids and watch them play. The older three got to go swimming with me, oh what fun that was!! We all had a great visit with them and can't wait to see them more in June. Oh and I loved watching my Broncos make it to the Superbowl!! I will try and find the pictures of this month and load and upload them.
