Swimming with Grandma

 

My mom came into town and rented a hotel with a swimming pool for the kids. They had a blast swimming around and splashing Grandma!! Thanks Mom :)

These were taken two different days. Oh and what fun we all had!! I will probally never go mudding in the RZR again only because it took close to 5 hours to clean it!! I sprayed it off the night of and spent 4 hours the next day washing and detailing the thing. It sure was a blast to go and get dirty, but not sure if it was worth it LOL!!!

February 2013

February was full of fun birthdays and unfortunately, more sickness. Colds passed around the house again along with one small tummy bug that only Austin got. 

We started the month with Austin's field trip to Cabelas. The kids got to feel some animal fur, look and talk about the animals, and feed the fish. Then they got to shoot the guns at their range. We finished the field trip with donuts and hot cocoa! So fun :)

Austin had his wart removed from his face. He did so good. I am amazed at how strong he can be when faced with new and scary things. It took three sprays with the medicine and is all cleared up for now.

Madison had her parent/teacher conference this month. The teacher says she is a great student. She's right where she needs to be with her learning and reading. We are so proud of her! She has made new friends and is getting closer with the ones she made in Kindergarten.

Garrett turned 30 this year!! Hopefully he will tell you that he had a great birthday. We tried hard to make it extra special. He got a new jacket and muzzle loader. We even bought him a raspberry cheesecake, which was amazing!! Me not really a fan, but he loves them! And this one was surprising good :)

My birthday was so good too! We are really lucky to have such amazing friends around us. I was able to go to see Safe Haven with my girlfriends Friday night and then spent all day Saturday getting spoiled!! Got a new NASCAR shirt and a massage, breakfast, lunch, and dinner made for me, with a chocolate cake from Kneaders to top it all off!! What a great day :) 

Madison got a new haircut, which we both love!! Its so much eaiser to take care of and makes the mornings go alittle smoother.

 And we finished the month with Moms & Memories for Madisons class. I got to read a story to her class. Its so nice that I am able to be so involved in our kids school. I love to see how they are in class, meet their friends, and see them light up when I come into class!!  Such a good feeling!!

January 2013

OK so apparently 2013 isn't my year for blogging!! But here's some pictures of January. We took the RZR out with the kids for some sledding fun! The kids loved it. Garrett and I even got in on the fun. The family got sick again. I ended up with a sinus infection and my jaw joints got really swollen. I had to get on antibiotics to clear it up. It was horrible!

 Madison had her 100th day of school. She got to bring 100 treats and wear a shirt with 100 things on it.....which turned out to be a bigger pain than I thought, but it worked.

Madison finished a sewing project that was started last summer. She really likes sewing and we now have a sewing machine so hopefully we can do more projects.

Austin had his parent teacher conference and is doing really well in school. His goal is to count to 50 by the end of the school year and write his name with out help. He's doing really well with his goals and there is no doubt in my mind that he can do this.

So that was January....although there probably was lots more I just can't remember!

Sister Tattoos!

My sister and I got matching tattoos with each other. I'm the butterfly and she's the heart. Her butterfly is my favorite colors and mine is hers.

Wow I cannot believe I let December end without posting all that we did!! Its been a crazy month of Christmas Parties and festivities and three of us ended up being sick for over half of the month!! But all is better now and here are some of the things we did...

 Started with a Razor Ride with some friends at the Dunes....what a blast!!
